I know the basics of HDR, 3 or more shots at different exposures but more of my question is how do you shoot the 3 shots with out having to stop and hit a button each time? Is there a way to do that or a way to program a button on the camera to change the setting and be able to shoot again in about 1 second? I am learning canon cameras right now so more description the better on how to accomplish the three or more shots as fast as possible is helpful. Heck any information on making a Canon xs take the best pictures it possibly can with me worrying more about the art of the picture, the better off I am. I like as much information as i can get my hands on.

Automatic Exposure Bracketing will be the easiest to take the three or more images.

AEB with high speed shutter will allow this - just set the AEB values you want and fire off the 3 shots with the high speed shutter setting enabled.

Couple of stickies with links to a wealth of info:
