I was interested in these three workers as they walked down the street with their material and tools. As I pointed my camera at them (a not-so-small 10D and even-more-not-so-small 70-200 f/2.8L), the worker on the left suddently noticed that I was about to take their picture. He pointed at me and said something to his friends - but it was too late, I already clicked the shutter. In order to avoid them asking me all kinds of questions about why did I take their picture, I simply continued to stand as I was, pointing my camera in the same direction for a few more seconds - giving the workers an impression that I was photographying something else, and they just happened to be in my way. I think it worked

ahh that's one of the best tricks...
just keep your eye to the view finder, finger on the button and pretend like you're waiting :)

Exactly ! The trick is to stay in the same position for a few seconds after they pass the spot - that way they think that I was taking a picture of something else.

What I do... is set the camera up on the tripod, and leave it focused on a point infront of where they are walking. When they get to the right point in the frame... Click!!!
They don't see anything unusual, because you don't track them with the lense.

Thank you guys for your kind words !
bitbytes9, I don't like the color version of this picture - it's too colorful for my taste. I really like monochrome images lately
