I have been using lexar 40x and sandisk ultra II cards in my dreb with very good results. I just received my 20D yesterday and was wondering
if I should upgrade to 80x. What other brands offer good service?:confused::
thanx

I wouldn't bother upgrading.. the same cards you used in your 300D will perform as much as 5 times faster in your new 20D ;)
You will see a HUGE increase in perfromance with the same allready very fast cards. :)
You should see similar performance to these numbers;

as opposed to the rather pedestrian speeds of the 300D;

Yes, the Lexar 40x is what I have running in my 20D. So far, I am satisfied.

I'm using 2 Sandisk UltraII 1GB cards and have no speed concerns at all -- no need to upgrade the CF cards.

I just got a 20D and purchased two 1 gig SanDisk Extreme III for $105 each at Samy's Camera. They are a 120X, and I love them.

If you have the old Sandisk UltraII (they changed some components recently for slower ones), it should not be much slower than the ExtremeIII ... check out the CD Database mentioned in the other posts.
Best regards,
Andy
