I’ve been asked buy a shop to catalogue their products, there are around 400 individual items, packaged food products.

They want small GIFs for there web site, but also want jpegs for actual size prints to place on the shelf when they run out of stock.

There will be a faint watermark of the shop name on all photos, I will retain the originals.

I’m looking for any advice on time lines or any other advice to provide this service so I can estimate a cost.

Any help here would be greatly received.

Thanks.

Steve

im guessing programs like photoshop have a batch process that you can accomplish the watermarking and converting to gif, but theres also the taking of the 400 images...not to mention how much time that would take.

im thinking since a shop doesnt realy count on quality, id secretly find good settings on the camera and just use the images as-is for all this.

but still it seems like a lot so this will probably upgrade you from that 30D =P

id ask like $1000 minimum, and i think thats kinda small lol. AND im a noob so i may not know...but i like thinking out loud

Thanks for thinking out loud DD.

I was looking at around 2.90 euros per product, there are 429 in total.

I estimate 9hrs for the shoot and around 8hrs for the PP.

I was thinking I sell the originals (watermarked with specific sellers ID) to other suppliers at around 1.50 euros each.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

If anybody here has done this type of photography before and has any tip or personal experiences to share, I'm all ears.

Many thanks
