When I download the images from my camera to the pc, (I have windowsXP)
The images save at large sizes, (800kb or even 1mb)
How do I make the images smaller so I fit more onto a cd, or email them etc??

Hey Jackia, if u want to mail them, hust right click on the image and go to send to mail recipient. Xp normally will ask if you want to make images smaller. Not sure on how to make them smaller to burn to cd tho, i like keeping mine big

Thanks,
It's just the same thing happened to my friend (who I can't contact), the images originally saved at 800kb etc, somehow she managed to save them as smaller file sizes, around 50kb etc.
I was wondering if anyone knew the process to do that? :)

Get an image viewer that can decode/encode jpeg. I like ACDSEE, Irfanview is good also and it is for free. If you plan on having print copies of your digital images, don't allow them to be smaller than (1600x1200 pixels). But for just email (640x480) is good. You can also reduce jpeg quality usually your software would have a slider somewhere that lets you control the quality, before you save your images, but try not to let it fall too low, or they get noisy.
