I think they are all wonderful... except for the last one. Doesn't seem to come to the same high standards as the others somehow. Some excellent photographs you have there.

Pic 1 - I like it. But is that a reflection towards the top left??
Pic 2 - Cool, but wouldn't be my fav cuz of the people, could of focused more on the boy in the sand.
Pic 3 - Nice.
Pic 4 - Love it!
Pic 5 - Doesn't do anything for me.

I love all, but the last one. It doesn't quite have the same sense of story telling...

Number 4 is by far my favorite. Looks kinda like Sean Connery.

I'd love to hear more about your PP desaturation technique for 3 and 4. The presentation is awesome!

Great pictures. I would like to do more photography of people on the street and out and about. I have a question... I feel strange walking up to someone I don't know and snapping their picture, so how do you do that? do you ask first or just do it? I know it would make me feel uncomfortable.

Thanks everybody, Hi VTDivot to be honest all I use are preset's you get in Lightroom, I'm a bigfan of a preset called Aged Photo where it keeps the main colours but tints it a little brown.... also for Number 4, I then added a black and white preset over the Aged photo preset, this gave it a really warm black and white tone, no mastery really, I do the usual bringing the blacks up playing with temperature etc, then sharpen.

Hi 10Megs, Funny you ask this as allot of people have asked me how I have the guts sometimes, well the best times are when people are not looking at me! but this can be rare, allot of the time I get caught and I have to pretend I am fixing my camera or something haha, Mostly I go out on my mountain bike and go for a long ride through the streets and see what's about, I have to say not all the time do I feel comfortable about it, Often I have thought to myself I have seen a good shot but I'm embarrassed to do anything about it, But I tell myself If i don't do it now, I will miss out on a great photo, so you do have to push yourself every time, gets easier every time you do it though :)
