Details off, but choosermenu on not possible?

On my photopage, I do not want details about the picture to be displayed, but I want visitors to be able to click on the link saying show photo details to see it if they want.

How can I make it so? Mind you, I have tried to set it like that in the backend, but it seems that if I turn off the display, I can not have the link there....

I'd also be interested in details off but a link to turn them on. There doesn't seem to be any way to configure that at the moment

Thank you, Pekka. Could I wish for this to be the standard in the new version? I like to keep photodetails available, but it is not always desireable to show it as standard.
