Got my first DLSR for Christmas, a D450 with 18-55mm lens. Here are a couple of pictures of my favourite subject.

Pretty good for your first attempts. Second one is sharper.

I agree, the first one looks a little out of focus (or maybe just not as sharp). Nice colors and exposure though.
