My A400 will shut off right after I turn it on. Any idea?

I have A400 for couple weeks. The problem now is when I turn it on, the blue canon default screen will show up for less than a second and it automatically shut down itself. So I cannot use it at all. Any idea. Thanks in advance

Sounds like the battery needs to be recharged.

Thanks gkas but I did charged my battery. Also to confirm, I changed my new battery. It stills happens.

Does it "beep" and then display E18 on the LCD screen? If so, then you probably damaged the lens mechanism so that it can't extend out any more. The same thing happened to my daughter's A70 and she ended up getting another camera.
