I am looking to upgrade some things for the upcoming wedding season, and I am curious what others use and think of the products.

I need to get a battery pack, wasnt sure about my options and what kind of batteries to get. Seems like I"m going to have to go through the internet to get the good stuff because I live out in the middle of no where and the only camera store anywhere around is a Ritz.

Also I need a new bracket. I currently have a basic Stroboframe (as simple as they come) but now that I have a grip I need something that fits the setup. I have been looking at JustRite and Newton and was leaning toward JustRite for some reason I can't pinpoint, but I think it seems bigger, which won't be better for me. But I am not a big person and was wondering about size and bulkiness of these things...

Another thing is I've always rotated my camera myself, but the ones that stay still and the camera rotates within look pretty cool.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Here is a link to a short video about the JustRite Bracket:

That Justrite bracket is sweet. Very nice. Nice price tag as well, but still nice. The video makes them seem so easy to use.

I am wondering how heavy it is with the quick release stuff, because he says that there is a lighter model w/o the quick release.

After watching that video, I would say that the JustRight fits into the same 'pro' category as Newton and RRS and Custom Bracket, with all of the benefits but none of the shortcomings of $100 category brackets. I am with BlueTree wondering about the weight...no specs on the web site for JustRight! And that $345 price tag is 'awesome' in a not-complimentary way!

My own choice, for its light weight and compact yet sturdy design, is the Newton. I have recommended the Newton to many pro wedding shooters and all who have purchased one love it. You seldom ever see one for sale on the used market, which is a testimony to its design quality. Every camera I own (except for the 4x5 monorail :p ) fits the single Newton which I purchased almost 20 years ago, with or without auxiliary battery gips and motor winders!
