oush!! i had one of those happen b4 on the 20d kit lens.. it is now a mini hood

Just think that extra few bucks for the polarizer or UV filter was well spent.

I'm sure you'd be pretty pissed if that was your lense. Thats why we have filters, to prtect the lense.

They glady take one for the team ;)

This filter was free :-)

The front element on my 17-40 cost me about $700 ;-)
