I'm looking at picking up a Norman KC1000-2 light kit.

Anyone have any experience with these? Looking for something to start out with and its fairly inexpensive.

For some reason I think this might be a far better deal, and far better strobes/lamps.

Thanks, I was looking at the AlienBee's.

Which do people prefer the most, constant light or strobes?

Seems strobes wouldn't get as hot as they only fire when you want them to.
