So in November of 07 I bought a pair of CHEAP 22 inch monitors (X2gen, which is now out of business) because Micro center had them on sale and there was a $50 rebate. I have had some trouble with them and now the panel on one has gone completely dead.

I would like to get a new pair of monitors, I may have to buy one now and the second one in a month or two, but I want to spend less than $500 on each one. I would like something that is at least a 20 inch screen. I have read the stuff about MVA, PVA, TN, and IPS panels. I would like to get a monitor with an MVA panel as most of the IPS panels I've seen a re way out of my price range, but I am not dead set on it.

I've reading reviews and spec on a bunch of monitors and still can't decide on what I want.

So my question is what are you guys using for monitors, or what would you recommend?

I was running a pair of Lacie 324s (S-PVA) but this morning I took delivery of a Lacie 724 (also S-PVA) to replace one of the 324s that had a backlight failure. I may have to replace the other 324 as the 724 is just stunning. I wonder if it could have an insurance accident ;)
