never used em but wanna... Can you tell me how to gauge the size I need. Look at my lenses below and tell me what you think? Do I need different sizes? I would assume so. How do I go about determining what size I need for each particular lens? Sorry if my questions make me sound like an idiot!! LOL... For a pretty smart guy in some areas I'm down right clueless in others.....

You will need different ones depending on the diameter of each lens, which is engraved on front of lens.Suggest you go for the manufacturers ones otherwise could end up with vignetting problems. The other way is to get a moduler set up such as Cokin, for which you would still need an adaptor ring for each lens diameter.Go down this road & the set-up would allow you to slot in the same set of filters to any of the lenses.

Decent e-tailers will provide you with the info. I use www.warehouseexpress.com (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/) in the UK. Click on Photographic and then select Lenses->Canon from the menu on the left. All lenses listed with hoods.

B&H list the suggest hood for each lens in the Accessories list when you click on the More Information link from a search page. Go there and follow their advice.

Canon's own website has a chart for what hoods to use on what lenses.
