The second time I've shot Jose. His tour manager and I hit it off last time I shot him so I had no shooting restrictions, but after an hour I was done! It does provide much opportunity than just the first three songs but there is only so much excitement when the headliner is pretty stationary. I do love John Hatton (bass), too, as I have shots of him doing his Rockabilly with Brian Setzer! Anyway, here's the set:

#1 Obligatory collage ... I was happy with the way his name turned out. I'm not a very artsy person but I saw the two font style on my All Access pass from "Access Pass&Design" and thought to try it with my own fonts and arrangement ... I get a lot of flack for my font and color choices!

#2 I really liked the row of ERSes in his glasses in this along with the spotlights.

#3 Just walking back to the front from the lightboard, down the house right side, and shot a few frames ... I often do this but rarely get a keeper, but I just liked the look of this one.

#4 Classic Jose

#5 Rare to catch Jose smiling, but here's one:

#6 And then another:

#7 A little art

#8 John hiding in the back with his basses:

#2 and #6 and the collage are my favorite from this set...

Just about the time Santana came out with big hit songs, so did Jose Feliciano... We enjoyed their sounds all through college and thereafter...

Very nice Dwight...

Jose is amazingly talented but in my "day job" circle, he'll never, ever be forgotten for his world's longest Star Spangled Banner...

Even today, whenever we get a performer who does a "stretched" version, we call it a "Jose."

I expect Jose is the best Latin/English cross there ever was. I feel as though I have known him in the back of head forever. I am not a music person so this is quite a feat.

He's an OK singer/songwriter but he is a most amazing guitarist. I was walking back to the front after shooting from above/behind the lightboard when he went into this riff (I am not sure I am using this word correctly) that stopped me still so I could listen. I could not believe that his hands were producing those sounds. And then he was doing that thing where he frets without frets right across the soundhole (see below) and he did that for what seemed like minutes with this wonderful soft acoustic sound. The last time I was that amazed was by Charo with her guitar who is really equally amazing (see below.)

Charo, who trained as a classical guitarist, is totally amazing when she dawns her more sedate outfit/suit and becomes the consummate musician persona:

She will be returning to the casino this winter and I will be waiting. :-)
