Yikes 1/40th? I think you're going to need to bump to ISO 3200, or get a faster lens. 3 and 5 are okay, but they just aren't as in-focus or crisp as I'd like to see.

Yeah the lighting was fine for the opening acts and then when the main band came on the lighting dropped maybe they were trying to make it more dramatic. I have been thinking about picking up a 85 1.8 for this stuff as I don't think that Canon is still making the 200 1.8

I love using my 85 f1.8, so I can definitely recommend it for this sort of thing.
