To continue this thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=62442), I would like to post some pictures I made recently using B&W film :

These are very nice Oleg. I guess the street scene (First shot) is my fave of the bunch. :D
B&W film is a whole different animal to color. One thing I learned in my studies is that the tonal range of B&W beats color film something like ten to one, as well as excelling in the detail department, and is therefore very adept at showing shots displaying a lot of texture. I'm sure digital technology will eventually catch and surpass it, but for now, IMHO, B&W still rules in these types of shots.;)

Thanks Bruce !
Actually i have mixed feelings about film - sometimes I feel that I can produce better pictures shooting digital and then converting them in PS, but sometimes there are qualities of photographs on film which no PS artist can reproduce.

BTW, my favorite is the third picture ;)

I like them all, but especially the third. I love the mood, which is very still and relaxing. The second one, whilst less interesting, is still good enough to have my eye following the patterns and imagining the textures. The first one is my least favourite.

Thank you Simon !
I like making pictures of textures, that was the reason I shot the second picture.
