100-400 WITH 2X

My friend stoped by my work with his 2x tele and I was quite excited to test it out with my 100-400 at 400 of course... a little too excited. I popped it on and forgot #1 the camera in ISO800, and #2, the exposure at -1/3. The rest of the parameters, F11 (this is WIDE OPEN) and shutter speed of 1/800. I've never had to manual focus before, and it's not easy at 800mm or longer! Anyway, I know some people may be curious so here's a picture at 800. No Photoshop or adjustments, just out of the camera (but the camera is set with sharpness and contrast mid-high).

The DOF is short . . . and yes it is hard to focus at the longer lengths. Thanks for the post btw.
