Help! Busted SD200

I took a picture earlier on tonight of a sunset (I know, cheesy and cliched). I put the sd200 (which I've only had since January, with no problems) in my pocket and went back into my apartment. I took the camera out about two hours later to take a picture and when I pressed the power button, the lense extended halfway and the lcd flashed white and had two irregular black lines running across the screen at odd angles. I turned it on and off several times with the same results until the camera wouldn't actually turn on any more. Now the lense is stuck partially retracted and the camera won't turn on.

I've tried a freshly charged battery, gone through all the troubleshooting in the literature to no avail. What can I do? Is the camera toast? Any help appreciated.
