Red Pole

This is my first effort with my new Canon 100-400 L on my Canon 20D.
This is a 100% crop. I used a tripod. This lens is built like a brick outhouse. I'm happy to own it however.

Great shot. Everytime I see shots like this with the 100-400 L it makes me want to buy one. Someday soon I hope.

Further checking has shown that the name of ther bird is Redpole, all one word.
I am encouraged to post yet another of my bird shots. Tomorrow...
