Assuming you are getting a return (With the economy in the trash can right now, I am kind of wondering if the government is just going to keep our money...)
Anyway, should you get a tax return, what do you intend to do with it?

Me? I still have hopes on getting a new mount for my telescope (don't worry, I will still be sticking a camera onto it :p :D ) I am looking at either A Celestron CGEM and new power supply or an Atlas GoTo

What about you?

It'll either be a sigma 120-300 f/2.8, or a used 300 f/2.8L non-is for me. I can't wait!

I think I will buy a big bag of weed and smoke it until I think my 17-55 is a 300 2.8 and then look through it and smoke some more until I see a Celestron CGEM :) .

FWIW, I don't smoke weed, and I don't even know what a Celesron CGEm is lol.

I don't know what FWIW means :D

I plan on getting some lumahawk (opus) 600 w/s lights (2), and probably a couple of softboxes to go with as well as other assorted modifiers.
A battery grip and an extra battery, some new filters. Would rather get a 5D mark II but until they fix that black overexposed light stuff i won't be going near it.

Purchased a condo about 6 months ago, so hopefully:
a 70-200mm f4 L lens. If I have anything leftover, it will be for more softboxes/strip lights/grids.

I file my tax return, and I try to get my witholdings correct so I don't end up either owing or getting anything back after I file the return. Why give the feds an interest free loan for a year? Think about it....If you get a $1000 tax REFUND, you could have been getting an extra $19 a week :lol:

(ok, so when you put it that way, but still.....Don't look at a BIG tax refund as any kind of windfall or anything, just poor tax planning ;) )

And yeah, the first year we owned a house, we got back like $3K! We went out and bought furniture for the house :) Then I learned all about that magic W4 form, changed it up a bit, and ended up OWING almost $1K (oops!) The last few years were were within a few hundred of getting it right, but now we have a kid, so who knows.......
