Well, I put in my order.... a 20D, the infamous kit lens (only $60 extra), and the Tamron 28-75.

For those of you who try to sneak an order past your wives, don't use Mastercard! I must not have used this card before, because they called minutes later and asked about the order..and my wife answered the phone! "Did you place a $$$$ order for camera equipment?" Good thing I was honest up front or that might have gone poorly.;)

BTW, I ordered with Canoga camera in California. I've ordered stuff from them, Adorama, and B&H with good success. Canoga doesn't have as big as selection, but their prices on cameras and lenses are competitive, if not a wee bit better ($10 on the Tamron lens). On accessories, they can lag a bit. But if you want a break from the New York stores, they are friendly and reliable.

Hit bottom ..

Fell off the wagon did you?
A few years from now we'll find you in an "L"chohol treatment clinic..

Yeah, Canoga has allways been a good West Coast alternative to the Manhattan stores.
Congrats on the camera.. now just stay away from the "L" or you'll have marriage counciling fees to pay as well ;)

Who said I was ever on the the wagon?

Seriously, the 70-200/4 is next on the hit list, but it may have to wait until next year (famous last words, I'm sure)

I too order from Canoga Camera. They have excellent service, competitive prices, and are actually concerned about the purchaser! One of the best places around to get original inkjet cartridges. It's where I got my 20D....and yes they have your CC company call to verify the purchase. I too was lucky enough to have cleared things with the boss....

4th post.....and counting

Canoga Camera is about 10 minutes away from where I work, its a small camera shop, but they are very courteous, excellent customer service. Unfortunately the package that I wanted to purchase from them was setting me $175.00 over due to state taxes. Instead I bought from Cameta Camera, which also were nice and didn't try to upsell me anything. Just FYI, I spent about $2,375.00, for the stuff that you see in my signature.

You guys are getting off cheap! Once I got my 20D and 4 lenses, my hubby started having severe camera envy. I figured it wasn't any more expensive to buy him his own 20D and gear than to put him in Rehab.......

My hubby is coveting my camera and 100-400L lens. I'm not as nice as Maureen, so I think I'll try rehab for him the next time he runs off with it. LOL
