If so could you measure the diamator of the main dish, I would like to take out the bowens and fit in an elinchrom adaptor that I have, just want to check it will roughly fit.

My lights take Bowens accessories. I could buy one and get back to you. Or just measure the diameter of my speed ring. But that's no guarantee it's the same outer diameter where the speed ring meets the dish.

I believe he's asking the diameter of the speed ring. As he wants to use it with an Elinchrom, rather than Bowens.

yeah I have an adaptor, so I want to take out the centre bowens adaptor and screw in my elinchrom one.

Wow, I wouldn't want to spend my money on that!
The build quality and materials are DIY. The smallest BD, from established brands, are 22" or so. And it's some crappy silver, which, esp in combo with the small size, gives some pretty hard light.

I have one it has pretty good build quality and I love the look it gives, although a little small but it is still nice. To answer you question the diameter of the speed ring is approximately 3 3/4 inches

thanks guys, I realise the quality wont be as good as a branded one but this is a lot cheaper and I probably wont use it that much.

I bought one too on a whim, but haven't used it yet, was going to try on my AB's but then bought a used AB dish on ebay, so I'll modify it for speedlights.
