Model wants poses on/against black satin bed linen. Was all good, but now she's died her hair black. With only a 580 EXII on camera and 430 EX/umbrella on pod- What lighting suggestions would yall recommend? I have yet to see the room/existing lighting layout, but was wanting to get a few ideas jump-started in the meantime. Any thoughts?

Thats going to be a difficult shoot with the lights you have , especially if she is laying on the linen....If she is standing using the linen as a backdrop you will DEFINITELY need some sort of hair light to seperate her from the backdrop...Hopefully her hair will be somewhat lighter or darker then the satin linen sheet....Goodluck on the shoot

That is what I was afraid of. I have a couple of hotlights that I could use, but really didn't want to do that. I might see if I can talk her into something different like standing in a dark doorway with it as a wrap, or sidelight that. Maybe I can find some red satin and figure a way to blend the two into the same shot.

Polar bear in a snowstorm. Panther at night.
Good luck.
