1.) how many mm or less is wide angle?

2.) im getting a rebel xt with the 18-55mm kit lens. everyone says that its a good cheap wide angle lens. but after 1.6x crop factor its about 29mm. so is that still wide angle?

3.) does can anyone here share some wide angle shots with the 18-55m kit lens?

thanks all.

28mm is wide which is what the 18-55mm is at its widest on a 1.6x camera. If you've never had a SLR before it is well worth the money. It's no frills but performs well for the price. 24-35 is probably considered wide.

1. Anything wider than the "standard" lens (usually 50mm for 35mm format) is considered as wide angle lenses For the Rebel with the 1.6X factor, then that would be anything less than 30mm.

2. yes

3. <sorry, don't have that lens>

reemas,

I've added some shot from 2/28/05 taken with the 10-22mm lens (all shots taken at 10mm). This will give you an idea of what else is available for the Rebel/20Ds. I use a 20D camera.
