A chat website I visit runs a monthly informal competition, this months theme is "beached", I can't decide which of these to enter. Let me know which you think is best! Judging in the comp is open to all members of the forum, a wide range of ages and types of people, so the photo needs to appeal to the common taste.

The cloud above #3 makes it look like that thing's engine blew & there's smoke pouring out of the hood. Goes well with the "beached" theme.......

I'm leaning towards #1 myself, but #3 is pretty nice too. I'm just not sure which is best for the theme.

I also like #3, but I really liked the wall in #4. #3 shows some people in the background that I believe adds visual interest.

Good shots either way.

The sealine on the first two is kind of crooked. Did you mean it that way?

Nah, that's was because I was hand held, and sometimes knee deep in water :)

What is that in the first 2 pictures? A building? Boat? What?

It's the same thing in each of the pictures. It's what I presume is an old world war 2 lookout post on a beach near Wanganui, New Zealand. It used to be high enough you could walk inside (well I was a kid then), now it's almost sunk.

You should have posted this a few days ago. I like #4 best. The lines in the sand strike well against the cliff, and well composed. Not your typical beach shot.

Good luck...I would have gone with #3 for competition also.
