I would like to have any input regarding my re-designed website for 2009. Please go to www.goodwinphotography.org (http://www.goodwinphotography.org) . Thanks!

I don't care for the intro (or in general, any intro page). Yours clashes with your actual website. It's bold and bright, with a bass heavy track playing, while your homepage is more laid back and elegant. I honestly though I got forwarded to a completely different website, and had to click the back button to see if the name on the website was the same.

Thanks so much for checking it out. You are not the first to say the same thing. I need to rethink the intro.

I had the same feeling about the intro. The overall feel of the site is good but there are a few other small things. The button for "about the photographer" has other info that should be on its own page and the same exact page is for "gift certificates" but is a pop-up window which is a little annoying. I think on your home page all the blue text should be a different color that would go with the rest of your site. Maybe a grey or black but the fonts and font size is ok. The worst thing is your actual gallery and that is what is going to sell your business. I am guessing this is a security feature? I think you need something that is easier to use and preferably in your site. If it is in your site you can use the clients name as part of the web address. goodwinphotography.org/clientsname I looked through some of the gallery while I was there and I love your work. These are just my opinions so don't take them too seriously.

The Introduction Flash is cool. But having to click to enter the site makes it feel like one is getting ready to enter a paid for or site that has questionable material on it. I would think that may meed some addtional rethinking on that.

As for the menu options on the upper right hand corner, recommendation would be to get your portfolio / gallery / samples up to the top of the menu under the Home page option. Then after showing your work you may want to offer your specials. Then next would be the specialty areas of photography that you want to work in. And then from there if one would want to purchase Gift Ceritficates and know more about you or your contacts. near or at the lower part of the menu structure.

I am not a journalist or writer. But on your About the photographer page. It is in my opinion I would make my first paragraph about the business and why or how you got into the photography, and / or the photo business. Then for the conclusion or last paragraph I would mention about being married and having children and how the family supports this career.

But again this is only my opinion, please see fit on how you may want to interperte my comments. Thanks for allowing us to give critique.
Or as a inbetween

Add some of the red from your intro to your website and it might flow a little better also.
