Since I've had some issues with flickr, I decided to give it up. I've moved my account over to SM, in hopes that my images will stay true to their actual colors, once processed, and uploaded. And as a tribute, to my flickr account, I posted up one last HDR! There was a break in the clouds. The sun had already set making for some nice colors after the rain this past Sunday.
Jacksonville, Florida. C&C more than welcome, and if you see a way to improve it, please let me know. It is comprised of 10 shots, from what I can remember. All post done in CS3.

Thanks. Appreciate it. No train, unfortunately, as the bridge on the right is lifted. Then again, that would look odd in an HDR.

Did you manually blend these together or use the automate feature?

Thanks Justin, appreciate the comments. And yes, used the automate feature, but obviously you read the rest...so now that you know what's involved, it'll get easier, over time. This particular image took a little over an hour...once it was merged. ;)

Thanks Jammet, appreciate the comments. Takes a while to get it right, but, thats what trial and error is for in this hobby/passion of ours.
Cheers,
Manish.

This photo reminds me of home. I lived in Mandarin from 1986-1994 and loved every minute of it. There are many times I wish I could move back. Great memories and I miss the beaches, especially St. Augustine.
I love the natural looking HDR. Thanks for sharing!

Sure thing Jason, glad I could remind you a bit of a place you once called home! Where are you now?

Thanks PianoMan. Appreciate the comments. There's lots of different ways to capture this city...maybe I'll look for another, soon!
Cheers,

Thanks Henry...I try to maintain what my eye sees...even though I probably can't match the colors the 'exact' same...but, they are pretty darn close. Only if my eye was a 17-40L.

Lighting looks flat to me. I'm not drawn into the photo.

Cool...I'd like you to explain that thought, if you don't mind? I'm more than willing to take criticism, otherwise, I wouldn't post. It's all about learning for me...so, take a stab at it. I'm more than open to it!

The building to the left doesn't add to the photo, I would have not included it in the frame. The lighting just lacks pop from the water or buildings and there isn't enough atmosphere to justify the haze/lack of vibrance.
Just my 2 cents though.

All good. And well noted. Problem with overcast days, is they don't lend themselves to great atmosphere. Of course, I could increase a couple of things, in PS, so, I will try to see if I can make a slight change that would make the difference.

I moved from Jacksonville to Memphis, TN, which ironically enough is my birthplace.

Nice. I've only been to Nashville...with my wife. Rather slow, as compared to other cities, but, we had a nice time absorbing the culture, and the scenery! I don't think we'd ever live in TN...since we've lived in way bigger cities before. Jax is huge enough to be big, and small enough to be small. Definitely an interesting place, though.
Thanks for the update!
