Band practice

A few weeks ago I got the chance to shoot my friend's band practice. I'm really trying to get into music photography so please give me some c&c! It was fairly dark inside, all images were shot on a canon 400d w/ sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 and canon 430ex II on camera.

I like #1 and #6. The motion blur in the others may be a bit too much for me, but if I had to choose one, it would be #3. I'm curious - how did you do that effect, was it in post?

#1 & #6 are also my favs

I love #3 - the sort of pic I'd expect to see in a rock mag. Also agree on #6 - clear but still rocky.

#6 has great depth. the b/w processing really works on this one cuz theres a stronger "spotlight" on the main subject..

my least favorites are 5 & 7. i feel like the motion blur just disturbs the photo.
