I work in the manufacturing sector in Ontario and it has slowed to levels I've never seen before. Senior people who have worked in the field for 30+ years say they've never seen it slow down so much, so quickly.

What sector are you in and how is your company doing? Do you still even have a job?

How is the photography market looking? Is there going to be an increase in supply (unemployed people looking to make a few bucks through photography)? Is the demand for photographers going to slow? I would assume so. What's your take?

I don't want to talk to soon but I'm amazed that the company I work for are so busy ( Aircraft Maintenance ). Then again it being an international business we just got a lot cheaper with the plummetting pound. So not too bad at the moment thanks but according to management it may get quieter toward the summer.

As for photographers, well I can see the wedding business suffering as people put off the big event until they feel a bit better off.

I can see people holding off on a wedding in 2009 - then it will be mayhem in 2010.

I think all non essential expenditure is going to take a hit. At the moment, from what I can see, people are more worried about what is coming, so they are being more cautious with their pennies.

Personally I feel fairly optimistic, i think that things will pick up soon enough. So hang in there folks - it won't last forever.
