I bought a 50 mm f/1.4 today :D :D :D

Here is a few quick test shots. I like it. Incredible how shallow DOF is on 1.4.

All shot on 1.4, first 2 ISO 100 the third ISO 400.

Excellent photos.
The 1st one really give the viewer the mood.
The 2nd one is a test shot, right.
The 3rd one give 3D look in a plain flat display, isolate the figure and make viewer consentrate on the expression of the figure.
50mm f/1.4 never let you down, but wait until you try the 135 f/2L then you will be amazed.

Ok, went to the zoo today to test the lens more.

But     I messed up....... It was bright and sunny today so ISO had to be 100, but I forgot to check histograms so I got a lot of blown highlights because I left it wide open. Ohh well better luck next time. Also the shallow DOF takes some getting used to.

Here is an example of what I mean. The girls face is blown, the girls face are not in focus (because of f 1.4 I know). This shot is probably one of the better ones, the rest are worse.

RSA SecureID code displayed. Good way to look it up when you forget it. ;)

The only problem is that we know who you are. :D

what is RSA SECURE ID CODE?

I use one to log onto my company network remotly. The number on the tag changes every 60 seconds and somehow it is linked to the VPN server. I give my User ID, the code on the token and my password and I am in.

Nice shots! I hope that, if I win the Mk1 50 1.8 the shots will look close to that :D

Oh, and the RSA SecureID... I work with them every day at work (I'm a network administrator)... good security measure, but they can be a pain if they're set up the way ours is :D

Tommy, shots #3 above is amazing!
It really can give the 135F2L a run for it's money :)
