need advice new to EOS

Ok I just got a rebel xt, my 1 st question is I am an advid BBQ griller who likes to take pics of my food creations, what setting would be best for this, pics will be done while on the grill and some plated up close.

its not really about one particular setting its about a combination of a suitable lens, lighting, back ground and settings, read understanding exposure, it will help guide you in how each setting effects your finished picture.

I think exposure here is obviously the biggest thing. If your taking pics on a dark grill with flames in the back ground. If your really new, pick up scott kelby's book. Its a fun read and helped me alot.
