View Full Version : Is the HP LP2475 calibration software in the box any good?

I just took delivery of a new HP LP2475. I had been planning to buy a Spyder 3Pro for calibration but I see that there is calibration software that came in the box from HP. Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it robust enough to make the Spyder purchase unnecessary?

I must admit that I didn't even bother trying it :)

Whatever software you use, it needs to be calibrated using a hardware measuring device (i1 Display, Spyder puck etc.). If you don't have one, you'll need to buy it.

I got this same monitor about a month ago, and I just downloaded an ICC profile from the internets, lots of them floating around.

I have this thing perfectly tuned for photography and gaming, look great.

I see no need to even buy a hardware device to calibrate this monitor.

Calibrating a monitor is more then just using an .icc profile....
