These shots are from this weekend's tournament.
All shots have the following settings:
1/160, f3.2, ISO 1600 @ 122mm, Exposure @ 0EV, Manual Exposure, flash did fire, metering states pattern. (I am going to have to check this setting, not sure if this is right or not. Any recommendations here...)
Also set to AI servo and I believe center focus point. Will be double checking this as well before the tournament this weekend.
Lens uses is the Sigma 70-200 2.8, Body is a 350d. Flash is a 420EX.
I would appreciate some C&C, settings wise as to what may help improve my shots. If they are not good, please be gentle, but I do want to hear what you have to say.

Good capture of the action, but I think you need a bit faster ss. The depth of field is good, but look a tad soft and OOF. Just my opinion.

Any recommendations on shutter speed I should be going for?

You could have shot wide open ( f/2.8 ) and squeezed a bit more SS (1/200).
If you were using flash, why not lower the ISO to 800? The flash didn't appear to do much with these shots. Did you use it on- or off-camera? If on, then then the fact there is shadow in the front of the wrestler's leg, tells me you didn't get much benefit from it.

You did a great job on getting the right angles. These would make a great poster for a Dads, Man Cave.

how did you lighten the face? I am using mostly LR most of the time now. My pp skills are avg at best, Layers in PS just confuse the hell out of me.
I love the change that you made.

Flash is on camera, pointing straight up. Should I point the flash direct at the wrestlers going forward? I am using a 420 ex.
I will post more on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. I just shot this weekend's tournament with my new used 20d.
Personally, I saw a big difference in focus speed shooting this weekend. Next weekend will be an even longer day shooting for me. It is our club tournament.
Today my son came in second and he wrestled like a demon. I am really proud of him and he turned 7 today. Big day for him. Man time flies, he has grown so much on the mat. There is no quit in him and I am so proud of how much he progressed in his second year.
He said to me today, "Dad, look at the people watching my match. This is soooo cool!" The whole team and a bunch of parents were watching him.
Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

I just created a new leyer and played with the levels and curbs. I also applied a little bit of saturation to the outfits.
