This is one of the pictures I took in Chicago on New Years Eve. It was close to midnight and the L train passed my friends condo. I had the camera on a tripod on his deck taking pics of the Sears Tower, so I swung it down for this shot.

The color version was ok, but didn't have much flavor... perhaps because of the drab lighting. I converted it to B&W and it gave it new life... in my amateur eyes anyway.

Thoughts?

Thanks guys. It's a salvage job via a crop. I kept going back to the original set of images thinking there was something I could do. Finally converting it to B&W and cropping made what *I* thought was a decent pic. I'm glad others agree and it's not just me desperately trying to like it. :)

Get's my thumbs up: nice tone, nice composition, makes me want to look around it and satisfies well enough. Cheers, Tony
