Feeding the pigeons

As I walked down the street with my newly bought roll of B&W film in my old Pentax ME, I saw some pigeons on a wire. I raised the camera to photograph them, but suddently a guy came to me and asked - "Do you want to take a better picture of them ?". I said - "Of course, how ?". The guy said - "Wait a minute" and dissapeared inside of a small shop. After a few seconds he came out with a sack of some kind of birds food and started spreading it all over the place. The pigeons came down at once - and that was the moment I pressed the shutter.

Nice shot! I fed the pigeons in Laughlin, NV a couple months ago like that. There are bubble-gum machines full of pellets near the "moat" around the Colorado Belle where you can buy a handful of pellets to feed the koi in the "moat". Everyone who buys a handful gets mobbed by the pigeons who apparently also like the pellets. So, I put my quarter in, got the pellets and held out my hand to the birds. I expected it to hurt a little as they pecked away, but they were surprisingly gentle... :)
