And during a lull, I stepped outside with the 20D and took this one (well, it was more than one--film's cheap for digital).

This was shot RAW and ran through RawShooter and resized down with PaintShopPro. I think the greens are too intense, and will need to be tweaked a little bit...

It's nice, John! The colors look fine (saturated, but not overdone) on my screen. I would crop a little off the top of the image ... kind of some dead space up there.

i agree with the dead space on top. i like the detail on the water droplets. its just waiting for spring to open up!

Color, contrast, saturation, and detail all show fine on the Mac platform.
I agree on the crop recommendation though.

HJMinard & down_shift, I concur with the cropping. I posted this without doing very much of anything with it. I went out later after the rain had let up, and looked at that particular rose bush. It pretty much _is_ that color...very different than its neighbors. There another picture I think I'll post later today...need to run a few errands first..
