Last night I had the pleasure of shooting seminal punk band The Saints (a reunited version featuring Chris Bailey and Ed Kuepper - this version broke up about 1980). There were four photographers in the pit - there was no three song rule and it was pretty hot in the venue. A couple of times during the set the band's UK based publicist made sure we had water or beer.
The lighting was also excellent (which may or may not have been as a result of me speaking to the lighting engineer during sound check).
How different is this to some other acts - one song or less or shooting from the sound board - crap lighting and being treated as though we are a nuisance.
