ATP Mt Buller - Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds

Festival curators Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds brought proceedings to a close with a sensational set on Saturday night.

The photos I took are some of what I consider to be my best photos ever - I've photographed Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds before and they are a challenging band to do justice to as a photographer. I think this set goes close to capturing them in full flight. (Having stage access helped).

Those two guys look quite amazing! Grand set, Richard! :-) The whole ATP series is marvelous.

good shots, but i think i prefer the Grinderman set. did they not allow pit access for this? a full-length shot of Nick, w/ his hand up to heaven, about to rain brimstone down would be killer.

Once again thanks everyone.

The pit access for this one was a little strange - one song but we had to sit on the supports behind the barrier - no standing up to get the full length - that's why they were cut off mid torso.

I've shot Nick Cave several times and he is one of the most difficult subjects to capture well - I think I did a pretty good job with these and Grinderman.
