So this was a sold out show at Ram's Head. Every single show I've been to there has had a pit. This one didn't. I ended up having to shoot from the side of the stage and it sucked. Anyone else deal with this situation?

Anyways. All shots are 6400 ISO with the 5D MKII, 24-70 f/2.8L and 70-200 f/2.8L IS. I added a layer of full out noise reduction with about 30-40 percent opacity to all.

great shots. I saw these guys about 8 years ago at a little rhode island bar called the Ocean Mist. Paranoid Social Club (ex-Rustic Overtones) were supposed to be playing, but bailed due to illness, and Badfish filled in at last minute. (Strange what on remembers)

These guys are awesome and put on an amazing show.

Excellent work! the last is my fav

hey Village_Idiot - why didn't you go and shoot from the steps going up to the second level. The ones that are stage left, in front of the stage. Go to like second step up and shoot with 70-200 over the crowd. That being said, when I'm there shooting, don't take my spot! hahahahaha....

I've shot side stage a couple of times. I found it harder, but ended up with better pictures in the end. I found that although I missed a lot of great moments with them facing forward, if you wait for the right shot when they turn toward you, it ends up being better with getting a lot of great crowd shots behind the band.
