But then I'm not sure that orange is his color either. Mind you one must be decked out properly for wood cutting. You have to make sure that your boots are coordinated with your chainsaw and then one must have a matching hat.

Ian conned me into going out into the woods today to help him cut wood for his fireplace. I don't even have a fireplace.

Sheldon:
I'm glad to see your subject was wearing an anti-glare filter on his head. It probably made taking this shots a bit easier. I'm a little disappointed that you didn't get a shot of the tree falling on him, but there's always next year.

I'm pretty sure in that first shot he's looking for his bellybutton ?

I like to see that as the day cracked on like smoke and oakum that all concern for safety,. ear protection, hard hat and eye protection, .. fell quietly by the board..

Those look like they might be Sophia Loren frames on those custom sunglasses. Very stylish up there in the Canadian woods. 8) :p

You will notice that while I was working my rear off, some folks had the time to take pictures. :)
Nary a tree fell on me but I did have two "standers" Got one of them to fall and the other one is still standing vertical in the bush lot supported by a rather large maple. I'm going back tomorrow with a 1/2 stick of TNT:)
You will also notice that besides the matching boots/pants/saw/hardhat, the afternoon headgear is a rather spiffy Stihl Timber Sports cap and Oakleys:):):)

I would have thought that Ian (being Canadian, eh?) would know how to fell a tree. Color coordinated booties aren't a substitute for technique.

Ian,. considering every time the two of you get together, pics of you in compromising positions end up posted on the net... I wonder if Sheldon's "help" with the firewood was indeed worth it?

If a tree falls in a forest, and nobody's around, does it make a sound?

Apparently not.
