Ok this is one of those, I'm sure I did it before but now can't get back to where I thought or maybe imagined I was before.
I just loaded Canon FVU 1.2.0 for use with my S50, I was previewing some RAW images and could swear that the contrast, color saturation and sharpness features were working, I know they were as I was experimenting with the sharpness feature. However after closing and then reopening the FVU, the white balance and mode features work but the contrast, color sat and sharpness features are now greyed out and not functioning, they appear highlighted thus working when the cursor is on the image but grey out when I move to the buttons. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same, I know they were functional, or now wonder if I'm losing my mind. Should these features work with a S50 and if so any help on getting them to work again? Thanks, todapark

If the S50 works anything like the G series cameras, you'll need to select Custom Effect in the Photo Effect Mode first. Then the other controls will get enabled.

Glad I was able to help.

Yeah, I wish Canon would hire me, too, so that I can get to play with all their cameras, especially their latest and greatest. ;)
