And what did I see but the US Airways jet flying at eye level right before it splashed into the Hudson River.

And to keep this photography related, Damn I wish I would have had my gear with me at the time.

And amazingly everyone survived...was watching it online...so crazy.

Yeah, was listening to the news on the drive home. I got out of the area around 5 minutes before the NYPD shut down the west side highway. I was driving north, and there had to have been no less than 50 NYPD vehicles drive south bound during my drive.

Do these people not realise news photos have a value .

x2. Had I had my gear with me, I would have parked the Jeep, walked to the site, shot off all the images I could, and walked over to the Associated Press on 33rd street for submission.

I said to myself, why are there so many sirens outside my office. I went onto CNN.com and saw....

I work in the financial district....so thats pretty far from the "splash" site, but seems like every cop out there was responding to what happened.
