I took this standing on the beach at Nightcliff in Darwin, Australia, in December 2004. During Darwin's wet season, storms approach from the sea most afternoons. The rain started soon after this shot.
Canon EOS 20D, EF 28-80mm at 38mm, 1/125, f6.3, ISO 400. There is some post-processing (levels, brightness, hue in some regions).

I really like the colors of the photo. The only ting that bothers me is the narrow sky. I want to see more of the rolling clouds. Maybe a shift of angle would have been nice. Since it is too late for that, is there more there where you could try a re-crop
I like the way there is a mix of textures and the way the sky is reflected in the color of teh water, I just want more sky.

I'll take a look at the original, but I suspect I didn't get much more sky. You are right, it probably does look a little narrow. At the time I think I was concentrating on getting as much of the brightly coloured rocks in the frame as I could.

I agree about the sky, but maybe the 'opposite' would be good too. Why not try removing even more sky so that it is all about the rocks and the sea and the sky is just a thin line. It will be a different image of course, but at the moment it very much split in half down the middle and maybe one needs to dominate more?

Nice shot. I would have pointed the camera a little higher to see more of the sky.
