i picke dup a canon sd300 for general pics, and i use the auto settings. any tips to get the best results?

Shoot a lot of pictures and then shoot some more. When your done doing that, you got it, shoot some more. Just kidding, London. Have fun with your new cam.

You'll get the best results once you go away from those auto settings. Shoot, download, and learn.

You'll get the best results once you go away from those auto settings. Especially the auto WB (White Balance). Take a look at these:
