Noob needs criticism, suggestions ...

I bought the Rebel XSi in part to get better photos of various products that people send me for review on my site. Here's the first attempt. It was taken in my home made lightbox (formcore, shop lights) with the following settings:
100 ISO ; AV 25 ; TV .3 ; 18-55mm lens ; shot in RAW ; used custom white balance in DPP

Since I've owned the camera about a month, and am working off info I've read in a couple of books and on this and other sites, I could really use some constructive criticism.

TIA

Why not put a real golf ball and some real grass (from the ground) there as props?

glare and shine off the packaging is a bit distracting.

How do I reduce that?

I don't really agree with that, it helps add depth & dimension to the packaging and makes it look more three dimensional.
