I was wondering if there is anyone that has experience with shooting minor hockey tournaments.

I photograph around 3000 minor hockey players for large associations every year. I have never shot a tournament. I am not sure how to set it up.

I have a few good shooters and a computer system. All digital of course.

1). Just not sure how the selling part goes.

2). Also don't know if I am shooting all of the players on the ice and organizing them in folders on the computer by date and time and team name. People may then look threw that game and spot there Child. And then of coarse order a picture.

3). I have heard another method of parents filling out a request form to focus on there child. Kinda like pre-selling.

These are the logistics I need help with.

I can print on the spot or take orders and mail them out afterwards. I would perfer to mail pictures out. I only have one printer and It is not event quality. Yet !

The tournament is over three days.

Well I hope there may be someone out there that can help me out. I can't realy phone up my local competition and ask them !!!!

Thanks a whole bunch in advance.

I haven't done this myself but I was at the Air Canada Cup Midget AAA championships as a referee three years and they had a great system. The first couple of games they focused on all the kids they could so the parents had a couple of shots. Then people started to recognize them and asked for focus...I did it for myself and was extremely happy with the results.

They had a table, one shooter, one seller, and were able to print 8 X 10's right away. I think the cost was 12 or 15 dollars a shot. It only came in a plastic covering - nothing fancy.

Normally the number is on the sweater somewhere so I would sort them by team and then by number. That is easiest to get access to them...you need to be on this though cause obviously it is time-consuming.

Hope this helps...I plan on doing something similar when I move back to Ont this year...
