Used autofocus (used all 7 points) on AI servo and used custom function 4-3 (* button for AF). First time I have tried this worked very well, had found on various forums that this method of AF is the best for action shots.

Those are some AWESOME pics. Being an aircraft buff myself I really enjoy pics like that. The F-15 climbing with burners lit is great. That's my favorite plane. The F-111 in burner with fuel dumps open, what a great shot. I have heard of them doing that, but never seen it. Post some more if you have them.

Todd,
By "gassey" do you mean the flames, if you do this is a 'dump and burn'.
Excess fuel is dumped and ignited by engines when in afterburners.
