Does anyone know how to do eithe rof these two things on the Canon A80?
1) MAke the camera so that it will instantly take a photo with no delay between focusing then taking the photo.
2) MAke the camera able tot ake a series of shots one after the other for when shooting anything fast (Im thinking when Im taking photos of horses during lessons)

Thanks so much, Im pretty clueless! :o

if you want to take picutres succesively without waiting for the focus confirmation you can try to put it in manual focusing, put the drive mode to multiple frames and use Tv to select a fast shutter speed. but be cafeful to adjust the distance to fit your subject of your pictures wont be sharp. or you can try auto focusing, try focusing on an object that you think your subject would passby select drive mode to multiple, fast shutter speed by Tv mode and shoot away! try to anticipate where you subject would go. http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif thats how id do it on my a60. best of luck!

On my A70, its:
- Func to display the function side-menu
- Down, twice (to the square icon)
- Right, once (to an icon of a square with two more behind it)
- Func again to cancel the function side-menu

If it's not identical on A80, it should be quite similar.
