Made my first visit to the Welsh hills last week, mighty cold but the rewards are here to see. Hope you enjoy :D.

Awesome, nice crisp sharp and cold!!
I made my first trip to Cad East earlier this year. What was the climb like up to Bwlch?

Fantastic shots, I live about an hour from the corridor an havnt made it there yet!
Do the RAF fly there most days or if not how do you find out when's a good time to go?

Hi all, thanks for the comments.

RTRIDER, I've been to both parts of the Bwlch (shelves and exit) and find the climbs far easier than CadWest if a little rocky as you near the top - be wary in icy conditions - keep camera in bag!.
I don't normally do CadEast as I prefer topside shots.

dodger, the RAF only fly Mon - Fri and have holiday base shutdowns frequently, there is no timetable to flying, obviously weather and light are a big consideration! If you liken lowfly photography to fishing your not far off the mark, you go, set yourself up - and wait - concentration is the key, a moments lapse could mean missing the only frontliner of the day.
I generally go with the expectation of seeing nothing then anything else is a bonus.
If you like I can PM you some links for more information.
